With everyone staying at home during the pandemic, local bars were left in a tight spot and businesses were forced to cease operations. To mitigate the loss, the brand wanted to find a way to #SapotLokal while allowing beer lovers to enjoy a refreshing beer of Carlsberg from home.

That's where Adopt A Keg was born. The campaign allowed beer lovers to fill a virtual keg by simply purchasing selected Carlsberg beers at participating outlets, uploading their receipts and scanning the barcodes. Once the keg was full, consumers were rewarded with two free pints, which were redeemable post-lockdown. To encourage sharing, consumers could also purchase a keg for RM500 to be exchanged for beer wallet credits (equivalent to 100 pints of Carlsberg beer) that were redeemable when bars were open.
