It all started with an insight: Malays love watching horror films. So to promote Petron products, we wanted to create a horrifying interactive experience that rewarded users for engaging with the brand.

Inspired by a Bandersnatch-like system, the microsite hosted a series of urban legends where users could virtually navigate through the mysteries of Malaysia and decide the fate of the main characters, while learning about the different Petron products. Upon completing each interactive story, users were rewarded with Petron Miles points that were redeemable for fuel.
